process. Follow one 8” block from Darlene’s book while learning
to make and use accurate templates and sew patchwork by hand anytime
and anywhere. Curved inset seams will be covered. A variety of settings
will be shown.

-Fiskars brand small scissors [chisel tip]
-wallpaper knife
-ultra fine Sharpie permanent marking pen
-Small, sharp scissors for threads
-plastic template material [opaque, rigid]
-any mechanical pencil
-100% cotton 50/3 sewing thread, medium grey
-appliqué sharp needle
-1 full new sheet of fine sandpaper or a sandpaper board
-one ziploc bag
Fabrics:
-1/8 yd sunflower points, darker or bolder
-Precisely cut 9” background sq.
-1/8 yd lighter background for sunflower points
