All Symposium participants are encouraged to take part in the 2008 Block Party by entering the quilt block competition. One entry in each category will be eligible to receive Viewer’s Choice awards. Recipients of the Viewer’s Choice awards in each block party category will receive their own block plus a collection of the other blocks entered.

The theme for the 2008 Block Party is “At Peace with Time.” Each participant is invited to make a pieced and/or appliqué block using fabric we send you in May in conjunction with your own fabrics. The blocks will be displayed and voted on during the quilt show for Viewer’s Choice awards.

Block Party fabric and complete instructions will be sent to each participant in May 2008. On your registration form, indicate how may kits your would like and include $3.00 per kit.


BLOCK PARTY RULES
- The block must measure 12½” X 12½” to finish 12” square.
- Use only 100% cotton solids or prints (your fabrics), along with the fabric we send you.
- Use any pattern for piecing or appliquéing, but DO NOT QUILT THE BLOCK.
- Please check the appropriate box on the registration form to participate and include $3 for each block.
